RETREAT REGISTRATION LINK

The spring of 2023 was extremely hard on local law enforcement in Minnesota and Western Wisconsin. (6) officers died in April and May including 4 who were shot in the line of duty, (1) who died of suicide, and (1) who died from a medical emergency. The trauma, grief and loss that those who were involved in these events is immense and spreads across all of the service lines.

The Invisible Wounds Project is honored to partner with other local groups, and businesses to rally around and support these departments, and the personnel impacted by these tragic events. We are happy to be able to offer a unique retreat opportunity to those impacted that will provide healing and post-traumatic growth.

We invite all first responder personnel related or involved in these tragic line of duty deaths to participate in this retreat. This is open to law enforcement, fire, EMS, dispatch, frontline medical staff and other staff related to these specific deaths: Pope County (MN) Deputy Josh Owen, Zumbrota (MN) Officer Gary Schroeder Jr., Inver Grove Heights (MN) Officer Ben Bidon, Chetek (WI) Officer Emily Breidenbach, Cameron (WI) Officer Hunter Scheel and St Croix County (WI) Deputy Kaitie Leising.

There is room for up to 40 attendees, and we will open up additional retreats in the future if there is a high demand/interest. Lodging will be in duplex cabins and will be separated by gender. You will not have private bedrooms, but there will be plenty of privacy available.

The resort is large, and we will be in a secluded section, with little or no contact with other guests.

There is NO COST TO ATTENDEES. The Invisible Wounds Project and other businesses/groups will be covering all costs. (If you are a business/individual interested in supporting, you can donate below, or email russ@iwproject.org)
