If you are a veteran, first responder, EMS/frontline medical staff, corrections, dispatch or an immediate family member of one of these service lines and need help, please reach out.
The Process:
Step 1: Reach out to us or fill out an intake form
Step 2: Our Intake Coordinator will speak with you, obtain information about the situation and your needs.
Step 3: We will work with you to determine the best course of action.
Step 4: We will help implement a plan for you to move forward, and support you with that plan.
Step 5: You will continue to receive support and follow up from IWP as needed based on the situation.
Step 6: Many of those we have helped go on to pay it forward and become helpers within the IWP program.
Support Groups at Invisible Wounds Project
At Invisible Wounds Project, we understand that the effects of trauma don’t just impact individuals—they affect families, relationships, and entire communities. That’s why we offer dedicated support groups to help those struggling with suicidal thoughts, loss, or the challenges of supporting a loved one in crisis.
Suicide Support Group
For those battling suicidal thoughts, feelings of hopelessness, or the pain of loss, this group provides a safe, confidential space to talk, listen, and find support. Led by peers and professionals who understand the weight of these struggles, our Suicide Support Group is a place to share, heal, and discover hope again.
🔹 Who is this for? Individuals struggling with suicidal thoughts or those grieving the loss of a loved one to suicide.
🔹 What to expect: A compassionate, judgment-free environment where you can talk openly or simply listen. You are not alone in this journey.
🔹 When: 1st & 3rd Tuesday of each month | 6:00 – 8:00 PM

Family Support Group:
Supporting a loved one in military, law enforcement, fire, EMS, frontline medical work, corrections, or 911 dispatch comes with unique challenges. Whether your loved one is struggling with PTSD, depression, anxiety, or the long-term effects of service, it can be overwhelming to know how to help—or how to take care of yourself in the process.
Our Family Support Group is a space designed specifically for family members to connect, share, and receive guidance from others who understand.
🔹 Who is this for? Spouses, parents, children, and close family members of those who serve or have served.
🔹 What to expect: A welcoming, understanding environment to discuss challenges, share experiences, and gain tools to better support your loved one—while also taking care of yourself.
🔹 When: 2nd & 4th Tuesday of each month | 6:00 – 8:00 PM
